Amira came to me through an interesting set of circumstances. She was bought for my dog Axel, in hopes of providing him with one last tool to enjoy residential life. It didn't work. But, I ended up with my lovely little girl. My Perfect Pup!
Because I had learned so much about what I could do to influence my little girl's experience of this life from an early age, we started out with WAY more tools to help her learn to become the best dog she can become. She loves so many dog sports, and we are always looking for more opportunities to fine tune these skills. She is very accommodating of touch and noise. And even though she is quite the polite and refined girl, she is a wild woman in the woods and loves to run to her nose's content.
Amira is always ready to learn more. Introducing Nali as a puppy changed the home dynamic and we had to make some adjustments. Now I have more insights than ever on the costs and benefits of a multi-dog household, AND I have a better understanding of what can be done to maintain the relationships that we have with each of our dogs while investing in and loving another. The biggest thing for Amira is that life gets too serious, too quickly, so play becomes really important. She really loves to work! We have found that when we keep structure in with the play, that life is the best for both of us. She has high drive (when a puppy isn't pulling on her ears and tail...). She is an incredibly patient girl with her puppies! She was an incredible mommy with her pups and loves being a mom. In the Summer we try to spend a good amount of time in the water. True to her Newfoundland genes, she would be such a good water rescue dog! She really enjoys that water time! She is so very patient with me, and overall, an awesome and impressive dog.
